More Fun Around Every Corner

Author: Brian, 04 24th, 2008

I went for a little mountain bike ride today but didn’t make it very far. I went back to check out this area I saw while hiking the other day, it looked like it had some jumps and I had to get a closer look. This is where I ran into Tucker and Andrew hitting some sick jumps. It brought me back to the days of racing BMX and building jumps of my own. Those days are long gone, and seeing that it’s been a couple of years (like 20) I decided to let them hit the big stuff and not embarrass myself. Maybe by the end of the summer I’ll work up the nerve to hit the big one. Here’s a couple more picts. The videos are alot better than the pictures I took. I’ll edit those when I get a chance. I think it had to do with the fact I’ve abused the Canon one to many times.

Man it was awesome watching them catch air and trick out. Good luck with the sponsorship guys.

Let’s Go Already!

Author: Brian, 04 23rd, 2008

After watching this page for over 100 days, we’re ready to go! Well almost. It seems everyone is getting last minute items ready. From Chip fixing a oil leak, to Mark reinforcing his roll cage errr I mean saddlebag frame, to Adam finding bodily waste bags. But between the 6 of us we should have everything covered, but time will tell. Here’s how the bikes are looking so far. Malcolm and I have a little more packing and gearing up to do, Adam and Luke haven’t given us a sneak peak at their setups yet. If I get any I’ll post em here.

Testing out the frame welds…lookin good!

Chip’s Dead Sexy Husky 610TE

Adam’s KTM 640 LC4

Notice the pelican cases, very official looking. Official enough to write off as a business expense? Sure why not! :)

Bad ass.

Malcolm’s Suzuki DR650

Beer & water. What else do you need in the middle of the Canyonlands?

I’m ready, let’s go!

Here’s a look at the route we have planned through the Canyonlands in Southern Utah.

Marietta to Ogden

Here’s a brief photo album of how my trip out to Utah went. It’s my first time driving a car across and I do have to say it’s sooooo much easier than a motorcycle, but not as much fun at all…and a whole lot more expensive especially when you get 6mpg and each gallon costs around $3.50. Do the math, you’ll cry to.

Exploring Stamp Creek Power Lines

Having lived in GA for 8 years now it still amazes me what you can discover only a half hour away. Thanks to Google Maps we found this little spot just North of Allatoona Lake. It was a relaxing ride at a good pace and we rode for about 30 miles without seeing a single person. For some people that’s nothing, especially out West, but around here, when your only 45 minutes from a major city its a real hidden gem. Here’s a quick edit of the ride filmed or should I say digitally captured on a waterproof Pentax Optio W30…Sry geek humor.
